May. 21st, 2000 12:15 amWow... what a day...
I was up at 5:50 this morning so I could make it to the SAU to help with the graduation flower sale for my club... I'll spare the details.. but basically its a ton of work selling/wrapping flowers for people who are in a hurry to sit and watch their kid graduate. All morning though I got to play in the band... hour and a half setting up, and 2 hours of playing.. then I got a break... then I had to sell flowers for an hour... and then I had lunch and went back to band until about 4pm. So around 5 hours of playing in all. It was really fun... the "family" had a great time... and it was our director's last concert, so we were all trying our best to make it memorable... very sentimental afternoon... I played so much sax that my lips pretty much stopped working... air leaking out of the corners of my mouth every time I held a note for more than 4 beats... my lips are out of shape I guess... :)
So then after the family said its goodbyes, my friend Paul and I (and Aaron tagged along) drove out to SFDL (Six Flags Darien Lake) and got our season passes... the real purpose of the trip was to see Moxy Fruvous (sorry too lazy to find the umlaht for the U) in their concert int he park. They were awfully slow starting the concert.... .but once they did it was lovely :)
So now I'm stiff and freezing and planning to go home tomorrow... but I haven't done much packing yet... so maybe I won't be ready... we'll see :) Good night.
