Too much routine

Having a routine is a nice thing sometimes. But when it becomes like my past week has been: wake up, go to work, come home, watch TV, go to sleep.. repeat.... it gets tedious very quickly.

I love my job. I'm designing and writing a software program for a control system for a wave pool... and after that it will be implemented in the rest of the water park. It's been pretty interesting. I've learned sooo much as I've gone alone. The pool is being inspected on Tuesday... so now its time to get everything working.

I really do love my job. I work for one of the VPs of the park (family owned) and I get lots of privs from that. I can come and go from the office as I please... I can get my friends in for free whenever I want. I don't have to wear a stupid uniform or work on weekends if I don't want to. Its pretty nice...

What I'd really like is someone to call up when I want to go for a walk or go out for coffee or to Abbott's for ice cream. I have friends who'd probably do that kind of thing with me... but none of them live right here... and for some reason they're not attached to my neighborhood as much as I am.

Everyone who lives on campus seems to think I live an hour away.. or somewhere that you wouldn't want to spend time in.. "down town" etc. Ever since my time in Boston last summer I've liked cities. The country is great, too... but the stuff in between is just so boring.

OK.. back to watching stupid movies and resting from my week.. maybe someday I'll like go out and do something so people will stop asking me what I do for fun besides chat online. :)
