Email from Tom:
I spoke with Volena.
She was already aware of the smell from a visit to the apartment (probably the frig.) and did have a complaint about the cats in the hallway.
She said she will be sending you a letter in regards to the cats, where she will be doing spot checks of our apartment.
If those issues are not resolved she told me that the cats will have to go and you are responsible for the lease. So if you decide to leave-with the cats- you will either have to find someone or continue to pay rent.
Personally, I am not too happy about Volena coming into our apartment, but since the condition of her property is in question she has a right to.
I told you before you moved in that Volena generally did not allow pets. Which is why I said there was to be no cat smell, control on the dander, and the cats had to have their claws clipped. I cannot think of more ways to express this to you.
And once again I'm sure your friends will think I'm a jerk but did their apartment smell like crap Sunday night and Monday morning? And how nice of you to not close the door so at least I wouldn't have to smell it.
I REALLY HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO ON A TUESDAY, JUST LIKE LAST WEEK AND THE WEEKS BEFORE! Now it's not my problem it's yours and Volena.
Ps I paid 413 rent. You owe 412.
