Back to the grind. Work is alright. I just submitted my travel voucher. The trip cost $2000 and I'll get $1100 of that back. :) This isn't because I'm a lazy government employee, it's because I don't eat anything. $43 a day for meals and incidentals is worse than $1000 for 11 weeks of meals at RIT. I hate going out to eat alone, so next time I go on travel you all should come visit me, I'll treat you to dinner. I also got 37.5 cents per mile for the 1150 miles I put on my Insight (yeah, that's not quite 2 tanks of gas). And they're reimbusing the $50 I paid for my wayport account (hotel internet). Pretty sweet. Time to pay off my kayak and make a dent in the mattress. I'm Never again buying stuff "interest free for a year." Though I DO love my mattress.

Back to work.

I just called the realtor that has
this
house listed. I made an appointment to see it. The realtor sounded like he wanted to tell me not to bother over the phone... it went something like this:

"ok fine, that is available. Ok the home is available ahh to see. Theres um oh boy um water its not really oh god ok let me say this yeah id gladly show her the home. when would she be available?"

I wonder if the roof blew off since I was over there last. It's certainly an interesting house... not worth what they're asking. I'd offer $180k or so if it still had a roof and solid walls and floors. The neighbors stole the deck... the back yard flooded up a bit. It's surrounded by brand new homes, so I figure that the developer owns it but couldn't build that close to the stream. It'll be an adventure, that's for sure!
