He's at it again...

I've seen this talk about Senator Santorum's bill to make all weather service data not freely available on websites anymore... Here is the opinion from the kayaking people (or surfing people?) :

It basically says that the govt shouldn't be paying to maintain more than severe weather warning systems. But they would still be gathering the data, it just wouldn't be available to the public as nicely as it is now.
