I'm at the police station!
Dec. 9th, 2005 10:49 amAnother snow day, though what was really bad at 4:30am and 5, is melting nicely now...
I slept until Tayden started licking me raw wherever he could find bare skin (ow!). Then I got an email from my boss, Joe, with the subject IMPORTANT!!
Apparently, we only had 30 days from starting my security clearance update to get all my forms and fingerprints in.
Normally this would have been fine, no problem, but it took me until Wednesday this week to get a badge and be officially a JSF contract employee. (Because this man, SD, couldn't make a decision about whether I could do database stuff, and had to have his people under him decide. Took them 2 minutes after meeting me to do so. But setting up the meeting took 4 weeks.)
Anyway, the email from Joe told me I had to get fingerprinted TODAY. So, I am at the East District County (State?) Police Station.
They told me I should bring a fingerprint card but I don't have one. Hopefully it will work out anyway.
They have to be sealed in an envelope and given to Joe tomorrow at the work Christmas party. One shot, better do it right.
What a pain. :)
