Well, looks like staying with the Navy right now isn't going to happen. Scott came to find me yesterday and said he hoped he didn't ruin my week. Really I just appreciate his effort and the fact that he's leaving me time to figure everything out. He said he'd do anything he could for me, just didn't know what else to do. He wishes he could keep me but doesn't have any positions open ("billets") and the people at Lakehurst wouldn't even consider a 30 day extension because they haven't gotten half the money promised when I came down here. Of course Peter says that money is there, just slow to get to them, but I don't really care because I have hated my job there for the last 5 months anyway. So, on to *smaller* and better things, hopefully.

Waiting to talk to Lynn Hopkins about going in to their office on Friday.

I have an interview with an engineering firm in Timonium, MD (the wrong side of Baltimore, but closer than Cabin John, which is on the wrong side of DC).

I just called a woman at the national highway traffic administration who wanted a phone interview. I don't know where they are located, but the number is local to DC. I probably shouldn't have used relay to call, she sounded confused, but is going to email me to set something up. Wanted to do this afternoon. Figures. (I just found the job posting, so now I know who she is looking to hire. And knowing how things work, I'd probably end up in the new DoT building that is being built right by the Navy Yard.) Or maybe it's this job opening, it pays less to start but looks more interesting!

I guess I like the city... lots of jobs at least.
